| Agricultural Development |
|
The division, located in the Food Innovation Center in Portland, works to foster a sustainable, profitable agricultural economy in Oregon through business and market development. The division helps Oregon companies expand markets for value-added food and agricultural products, works to create jobs through expanding value-added agricultural businesses, and oversees the state’s commodity commissions.

| Animal Health & Identification |
|
The division works to control and eradicate animal diseases, especially those transmissible to humans; ensure proper ownership of livestock through the brands program; enhance economic production of livestock; and ensure animal feeds meet nutritional and labeling standards.

| Commodity Inspection |
|
The division provides high quality services which ensure Oregon products meet or exceed the quality requirements of the domestic and international market place. Quality assurance is provided to Oregon producers, packers and shippers through official third-party inspection, testing, verification, and certification.

|
The division provides licensing, inspection, and technical assistance to nearly 9,000 food establishments in Oregon, providing assurance to consumers that the food they eat is safe.

| Laboratory Services |
|
The regulatory laboratory, located in the Food Innovation Center in Portland, provides chemistry and microbiology analysis of food, dairy, shellfish, foliage, soil, fertilizer, and water samples along with various products destined for export and import.

| Measurement Standards |
|
The division assures consumers of accurate weight and measure of food and non-food products, services, and commodities purchased in Oregon. The division also provides official mass, volume, and length standards calibration and ensures motor fuel quality standards.

| Natural Resources |
|
The division’s mission is to conserve, protect, and develop natural resources on public and private lands so agriculture will continue to be productive and economically viable in Oregon. Primary program areas include water quality, confined animal feeding operations, land use, and soil and water conservation districts (SWCDs).

Resources for Oregon's Soil and Water Conservation Districts
The Natural Resources Division provides administrative oversight for SWCD programs, provides SWCD director and employee training, and promotes cooperation among all SWCDs.
The SWCD Web site provides calendars, services, and a helpful toolbox to Oregon's 45 Soil & Water Conservation Districts.

| Pesticides |
|
The division seeks to protect people and the environment from adverse effects of pesticide use while maintaining the availability of pesticides for beneficial uses. The division regulates the sale and use of pesticides, provides testing and licensing of all users of restricted-use pesticides, is responsible for fertilizer registration, and investigates incidents of pesticide misuse.

| Plant |
|
The division works to exclude, detect, and control or eradicate serious invasive insect pests and plant diseases; enhance the agricultural value of nursery stock, and Christmas trees through pest and disease inspection and certification; oversee state-wide noxious weed control efforts; and protect at-risk native plants.
